Position Summary

Perform onsite Material care, custody and control functions in support of construction field activities

Primary Responsibilities and Duties

•    Carry out day to day activities of the warehouse department, which can include shipping and receiving or products and materials, issuing tools, documentation and inventory control
•    Selects and prepares daily shipments which may includes pulling orders, packaging, and completing freight/invoice paperwork for freight carriers
•    Palletizes and wraps skids and delivers completed orders and packages to designated shipping area and/or deliver to disciplines
•    Assists in loading trucks as necessary and unloads received items from trailers
•    Examines and inspects items for damage and defects; identifies incorrect/short shipped items
•    Packs, unpacks, and marks stock items, using identification labels and stickers
•    Perform onsite Warehouse inventories, maintenance and restocking, fill backorders and product bins
•    May assist in resolving inventory discrepancies and document material shorts
•    Ensure all shipping/receiving documents are completed accurately and on time
•    May operate forklift and other equipment – stand-up lift, sit-down lift, propane, scissor, etc

Qualifications

•    Experience as a Warehouse Helper II  in powerplant/industrial setting is required.
•    Must possess knowledge skills and abilities for position
•    Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management/supervision
•    Field experience in chosen craft discipline
•    Knowledge of the safe and efficient use of hand tools, power tools and layout tools.

Requirements

The person in this position needs to constantly move about a construction/industrial site, 
so should be able to stand, walk, sit, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl
• Constantly works in a construction environment and will be exposed to changing outdoor 
weather conditions
• Work irregular hours, weekends, overtime and holidays as required
• May be required to use ladders/mechanical platforms/manlifts/scaffold to access 
required equipment/work areas (may exceed 200 feet), so must be able to climb and 
maintain balance on formwork, steel formwork, stairs, ladders and scaffolds
• Move and work in and around confined and cluttered places, and uneven surfaces
• Must be able to complete tasks in a noisy and dusty environment
• May be required/able to move items weighing up to 50 pounds across 
construction/industrial site
• Must have required tools
• Observe and comply with all safety and project rules, perform other duties as required
• Ability to pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing and fit for duty medica
