Position Summary

Kiewit is seeking experienced Pipefitter Journeypersons to join the Path2Zero Project in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta.

Position Details and Requirements

  • Valid Journeyperson (JM) Pipefitter ticket
  • Valid certifications in:
    • Mobile Elevated Work Platform (MEWP)
    • Confined Space
    • Fall Protection
  • Experience fitting aluminum pipe, including small and large bore pipe for cold boxes within the Air Separation Unit (ASU) segment
  • Minimum of 5 years of industrial construction experience

Compensation and Shift Details

  • Base wage: $52.00/hour (as per the CLAC Collective Agreement)
  • ITC Premium: $2.50/hour on base hours (40 hours/week)
  • Vacation pay: 6% on base hours (40 hours/week)
  • Statutory holiday pay: 3.6% on base hours (40 hours/week)
  • Shift schedule:
    • Monday to Thursday: 10-hour shifts
    • Friday: 8-hour shift
  • Overtime and weekend work may be required

Additional Information

  • Successful candidates must complete the following:
    • SureHire Drug & Alcohol test
    • 50 lb Fitness-to-Work assessment
    • Half-mask fit test
  • Travel and living-out expenses are not provided

The Path2Zero project is a major clean energy initiative supporting the decarbonization of industrial operations in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta. Upon its completion in 2028, the facility will be Canada’s largest clean hydrogen production site and among the largest globally.
