Position Summary

Kiewit is seeking an experienced Equipment Operator Lead Hand for the Woodfibre Project in BC. This role involves operating various types of equipment in a marine-adjacent industrial environment. Candidates must be local to Coquitlam, BC, as the position is based at the Marine Yard.

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience operating zoom boom, calmar or similar forklift, shunt truck, high way truck and trailer
  • Lead hand experience 
  • Marine experience is an asset 
    • Backing trailers onto barges
    • Loading/offloading equipment and materials from barges
    • Must be familiar with hydraulic systems while working in a marine environment 
  • Must have Class 1 Driver's license and provide 5 year Driver's Abstract
  • Valid Zoom Boom Ticket 
  • Valid Forklift Ticket
  • CSTS 2020 and WHMIS 2015

Shift Information

  • 5/2 rotation
  • Must be available to work days or nights

Additional Information

  • No LOA - daily commute required. Must be local to Coquitlam, BC
  • Base rate of $43.30/hour + Lead hand premium of $3.00/hour 
  • Upon an offer, all candidates must be able to pass a SureHire Drug, Alcohol, & 50lb Fitness to work test.
