Position Summary

Heavy equipment oiler performs onsite daily fueling and lube services, operational checks and minor preventive maintenance services on a variety of heavy construction equipment.

Experience Level

Intermediate

Primary Responsibilities and Duties

•    Perform scheduled fueling and lubrication services to all field equipment and construction machinery.
•    Complete preventative maintenance work orders on a wide variety of heavy equipment including backhoes, scrapers, dozers and excavators.
•    Inspect equipment and report problems
•    Occasionally may assist heavy equipment mechanics with the replacement of defective or worn parts.
•    Maintains accurate truck and equipment inspection and service logs on a daily basis and in accordance to DOT requirements.
•    Complies will all applicable DOT rules and regulations.
•    Complies with all applicable environmental laws and regulations in regard to disposal and waste

Qualifications

•    May require a high school diploma or its equivalent with previous years of experience in the field or in a related area.
•    Must possess strong working knowledge skills and abilities for position.
•    Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management/supervision.
•    Proficient in the safe and efficient use of electrical, hand tools, power tools and layout tools as well as measurement tools

Requirements

•    Able to meet all physical requirements. 
•    Must have all required tools
•    Expected to climb and work at heights and in confined spaces (may exceed 200 ft)
•    Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
•    Able to work overtime, nights, and weekends as required by the workload
•    Observe and comply with all safety and project rules. Performs other duties as required.
