Position Summary

Kiewit is hiring an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic Journeyman for the Mayo Project in the Yukon.

Position Requirements

  • Heavy Equipment Mechanic, Journeyman Red Seal 

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in heavy equipment maintenance 

  • Driver's license, and clean Driver's Abstract  

Compensation and Shift Details

  • Base wage: $47.80 per hour (paid weekly) 

  • 20/0 Rotation

  • Camp job

Qualifications

•    May require a high school diploma or its equivalent with previous years of experience in the field or in a related area.
•    Must possess strong working knowledge skills and abilities for position.
•    Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management/supervision.
•    Proficient in the safe and efficient use of electrical, hand tools, power tools and layout tools as well as measurement tools

Additional Information

  • Upon an offer, all candidates must be able to pass a SureHire Drug, Alcohol, & 50lb Fitness to work test 

  • Must be compliant with Kiewit Safety, Environmental, and Quality Policies
