Telehandler / Crane Winch Operator Craftsman - FERMI

Position Summary

In this position, the telehandler work is a majority of the work for this position.There will be times when a wire rope winch will be attached to the forks of the telehandler. In this configuration, the operator will be required to possess a valid crane certification (NCCCO or NCCER) while operating the winch. The crane cert is only required while operating the telehandler while the winch attachment is being used.

NCCCO Certified Hydraulic Crane / Rotating Telehandler Operator with TLL certs to operate a rotating cab Telehandler with a mounted winch.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties

•    Operate Telehandler / Crane to lift and move materials and other objects.
•    Plan all lifts and take complete charge of all safety pertaining to set up and knockdown, operation of crane and proper use of capacity charts.
•    Perform rigging inspection and daily equipment inspection.
•    Respond accordingly to both hand and verbal commands from rigger or helpers.
•    Observe the travel of all loads and take appropriate action to avoid injury to personnel or damage to property.
•    Read boom angle and drum rotation indicators.

 

Qualifications

Experience as a Crane Operator  / Telehandler Operator in an industrial setting is required.
•    Must possess strong working knowledge skills and abilities for position.
•    Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management/supervision.
•    Proficient in the safe and efficient use of electrical, hand tools, power tools and layout tools as well as measurement tools

Requirements

• Must have NCCCO TLL Certs
• Must have current medical card.
• Must be able to operate a rotating cab Telehandler with a mounted winch.
