Position Summary

Kiewit is currently seeking an experienced Carpenter Apprentices for the Path2Zero project, located in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta.

Position Requirements

  • Valid Apprentice Carpenter Ticket or equivalent hours
  • Experience with Peri formwork is considered an asset
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in industrial construction

Compensation and Shift Details

  • Base wage: $29.63 - $44.45 per hour as per CLAC Collective Agreement. Rate dependant on position.
  • ITC Premium: $0.54 - $2.50 per hour on base hours (40 hours per week). ITC rate dependent on position
  • $170 per day worked LOA will be offered for non local candidates
  • Vacation pay: 6% on base hours (40 hours per week)
  • Statutory holiday pay: 3.6% on base hours (40 hours per week)
  • Night shift premium: $3.00 per hour if working nights
  • Shifts run Monday to Thursday, 10 hours per day; Friday, 8 hours
  • Overtime and weekend work may be required

Additional Information

  • Candidates offered a position must successfully complete SureHire Drug, Alcohol, Audiometric, and 50lb Fitness to Work tests

The Path2Zero project is a major clean energy initiative supporting the decarbonization of industrial operations in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta. Upon its completion in 2028, the facility will be Canada’s largest clean hydrogen production site and among the largest globally
