Position Summary
Pile Driver Welders have experience and knowledge driving pile for heavy civil foundations.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties
• Read, understand, interpret and enforce safety policies and practices
• Examines blueprints to determine dimensions of structure and jobsite layout
• Lays out worksite as needed
• Determines sequence of activities concerned for piling installation
• Assigns workers to daily tasks and manages production
• Provide signals to cranes, forklifts, and other heavy equipment
• Drive pilings for retaining walls, bulkheads, and foundations of structures, such as buildings, bridges, and piers
• Effectively position and operate power hammers to drive pilings
• Should be able to perform all essential duties and responsibilities of a Welder
• Selects equipment and plans layout, assembly, and welding
• Lays out, positions, aligns, and fits components together
• Bolts, clamps, and tack-welds parts to secure in position for welding
• Sets up equipment and welds parts, using arc, gas-shielded arc, or stick arc welding equipment
• Clean, lubricate, and refill equipment
• Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning
• Drive pilings to provide support for buildings or other structures, using heavy equipment with a pile driver head
• Move hand and foot levers of hoisting equipment to position piling leads, hoist piling into leads, and position hammers over pilings
Qualifications
•May require a high school diploma or its equivalent with previous years of experience in the field or in a related area.
•Must possess working knowledge skills and abilities for position.
•Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management/supervision.
•Ability to use hand tools, power tools and layout tools safe and efficiently.
Requirements
•Able to meet all physical requirements.
•Must have all required tools
•Expected to climb and work at heights and in confined spaces (may exceed 200 ft)
•Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
•Able to work overtime, nights, and weekends as required by the workload
•Observe and comply with all safety and project rules. Performs other duties as required.
•4+ years of experience working with, maintaining and inspecting pile hammers, leads, lifting cables, and slings
•4+ years of experience in welding and cutting
•3+ year of being 3G & 4G certified for welding (Stick, wire)
•Must have demonstrated experience in a variety of pile types and dimensions including sheet, pipe and h-pile
•Must possess a knowledge of pile hammers, vibrating hammers and cranes
